Spray & Rebind Studio is a small independent bookbinding studio based in Southampton, UK, specialising in custom book rebinding, sprayed edge books and bespoke book design.

I create books for people who want something beyond a standard edition — whether that's a favourite paperback transformed into a custom hardcover, a book finished with a bespoke sprayed edge, or a completely original design created around a particular story.

Handmade Custom Book Rebinds

Each custom book rebind is carefully considered from the beginning, from choosing the cover materials and colours through to the endpapers, ribbon markers, foil details and final finishing.

Some designs are understated and traditional, while others are inspired directly by the world, characters or themes within the book.

Sprayed Edge Books

Sprayed edges are one of my favourite ways to transform a book.

A simple block colour can completely change the feel of an edition, while a more detailed design can turn the page edges into another part of the artwork.

I create both ready-made sprayed edge editions and custom sprayed edge commissions using customers' own books.

There is something special about owning a book that has been made specifically for you.

Every piece is created by hand, so small variations are part of the process rather than something to be hidden. They give each finished book its own character and make it different from a mass-produced edition.
